Feb 15, 2015 · A good jeweler never uses glue to set a stone. Well at least not usually. All soft stone inlays are set with glue. All those pieces which have inlaid opal, lapis, etc., all use epoxy to hold the stones in place. Then there is the use of glue to hold pearls and briolettes in place.
