The tail feathers are clear and separate and not attached to the cross. The Eagles are very symmetrical. I purchased this in 1974 or 75 at a gun show / military collectibles show . This seems to be similar to a Roethe pattern, but it is too flat. I've had comments that this is a post war jewelers copy, and others say it is a fake replica.
