Feb 23, 2010 · Photopolymer plates are available in a variety of formats (different thicknesses, different backings ie. metal or plastic) I use a variety of depths, dependent on the project at hand. The plate material is UV photosensitive and when exposed to an ultraviolet light through a high contrast negative, the U.V. cross links the polymers and hardens the image.

Make photopolymer plates in a room without a lot of light. Place the black card (supplied) on your work surface. Position a height adjustable 60-Watt lamp, with a clear, pearl or daylight bulb, 20cm (8”) above the card, shining directly downwards, and turn it on. Avoid lamps with narrow shades.
