The copper does develop oxidation on the back and cannot be put in pickle because it will remove the color on the reverse. Flame painted Discs. It wasn’t difficult to remove with an abrasive, but I am going to try Osmacote on back before flaming next time. This is sometimes used in enameling so that the oxidation just brushes off.
