Jul 16, 2015 · I left mine in the silver jewelry cleaner too long and it had this really white coating over it, it was no longer shiny but I used a nail buffer, one that wasn't like a full on nail file and then used rubbing alcohol on the ring and now it looks brand new! Reply Was this helpful?

Aug 07, 2011 · i think that it only effects the fake stuff, if you leave it in the cleaning solution too long. I have left me wedding rings in and some costume jewerly while I was cleaning the house. forgot about it until I returned to the bathroom 2 hours later. The real stuff was fine, the costume jewelry didn't do as well. Posted 8/6/11 9:55 PM.
