My boyfriend and I went to Lapis as a way to get from our hotel Secrets Silversands, to Playa del Carmen without having to pay for a taxi. It was explained to us that the Lapis Jewelry Factory offered free shuttle service to the city, the only catch was that you had to spend about 30 minutes in the factory viewing their products.

It included a trip to the jewelry factory, tequila tasting (it was lame) and 5th Avenue shopping. The Jewelry Center was great! We bought 2 rings and a sculpture. The rings are beautiful and very unique. I'm not interested in taking them to be appraised as I bought them because I loved them, they weren't bought as an investment.

I have three pieces of jewerly from them. We first went to Lapis on a tour through our resort EDSS. My husband actually purchased a ring from Lapis for our 20th anniversary, they delivered it to our resort, when it did arrive we had a problem with the stone and they happily took care of it.
