May 08, 2016 · I used ProtectaClear on my coin rings and have found it very resilient. The product says to first clean the metal with denatured alcohol (which I do) and to apply two coats. I have been applying just one coat although for such an intimate contact items such as a ring or bracelet, two coats would probably be better.
