Jul 20, 2005 · My issues with digipacks are: It is too easy for the artwork to get knackered. Yes, jewel cases also get scuffed, scratched, and cracked, but at least jewel cases can be replaced while the paper inside is left unharmed. Once the case is damaged, you can't replace it.

May 16, 2014 · Definitely Digipak! First, it would match 13/8, and jewel cases are way overdone and so boring! I get more of a vinyl feel from a digipak, much nicer. And the digipak is noting I could make by my self, I feel it’s a bit more special.Estimated Reading Time: 3 mins

I'd rather have spent those millions of hours making music, rather than hunched over a paper cutter. Plus, this new CD is going to be really, really good.

Jul 06, 2003 · Digipak has plastic tray just like jewel case versions, but uses cardboard case/box. I really like digipaks especially the tri-fold versions which give you much superior graphics to jewel case. Sep 19, 2014 · Among uncommon belief digipak's to produce are actually much more expensive due to the artwork and customization involved in printing, a jewel case the booklet is the cover that's it and the plastic cases are universal etc, besides providing a back cover, that's it.

Apr 20, 2013 · When digipacks first came out years ago I loved them, but now I think they kinda suck. The edges and pretty much the whole package gets all worn waaaay too quickly, and the colors usually look much better in the booklet in the jewel case. Plus, in my eyes the whole "glassy" look and feel of a jewel case CD can't be beaten.

Feb 07, 2014 · Unlike jewel cases, digipaks are made of cardstock, meaning they won’t break nearly as easily as the plastic jewel cases. This also makes them a bit more eco-friendly, if that’s your thing. (If so, note this: Digihubs, which replace the plastic tray with a rubber hub, take the green thing a little farther.)
