May 06, 2014 · Ernst Bek's jewelry prior to World War 1 was marked with a butterfly as a signature. After World War I, Binder regained ownership and reproduction rights and the jewelry was then produced with the Binder Brothers mark of BB. Sep 24, 2012 · I did some searching and found a clear butterfly mark belonging to him. IMO, it did not look the same. The little feet thing at the bottom was different. I will post the mark in the next post, and hopefully Dee, Owl, Lexy and a few others will comment.

May 06, 2020 · This is the mark of Hollywood Jewelry Mfg. Co. (1936–1979) founded by Joseph Chorbajian. Produced jewelry in the 1940s bearing a paper Hollywood Mfg. Co. hangtag. Early pieces are not dated, nor are those made after the 1950s. Pieces simply marked Hollycraft are dated based on the styles, components, and findings.

Louis Mazer continued to operate the original costume jewelry business after the brothers split with the help of his son Nat. The company ceased operation in 1952, the same year Louis Mazer passed away.
