Nov 19, 2004 · The only other person I've heard say a jeweler should be bonded was one that wrote a book about how to buy diamonds many consumers I've spoken with had less than honest dealings with him. He claims to cut diamonds etc, when in fact he just buys them, and he tell's everyone that other's stones are warped just so people will buy one from him.

Dec 10, 2015 · Bonded gold means a thin layer of gold is applied over the silver. I don't know if it's thicker than typical gold plating, but it's certainly not solid gold. David Yurman needs to do a better job labeling their products. I find the lack of transparency about which products have the bonded pieces and which have solid pieces rather deceptive.
