You need mandrels (in jars above, in front of the kiln), and other forming tools. You need a torch ($200 on up) and oxygen. Fuel is required to run the torch--I use natural gas in my Ann Arbor studio and propane in my Beaver Island studio.

I make glass beads with a torch and a kiln. My glass beads are made here in the USA in my Michigan studio. They are made one at a time, with a torch. Glass from Italy is melted with a torch and then formed, while molten hot, into shapes. The bead is then annealed in a digitally controlled kiln for durability. They are then cleaned.
